The Coaching Staff:
Director Ethan Treat
As the founder and director of Streamline, Coach Ethan Treat has designed the swim clinic to enhance the stroke technique of young swimmers. Ethan has based the program around his years of swimming and coaching experience in high school and college programs. Ethan is a former swimmer and graduate of Newton North High School. He swam on North’s varsity team and earned five school records and four Massachusetts State Championship titles. He was twice named a Boston Globe All Scholastic Swimmer as well as the paper’s prestigious Swimmer of the Year in 2002. After North, Ethan continued his swimming career at Amherst College, competing all four years at the NCAA National championships, where he earned seven All-American Awards along with several team and conference records. For the past eight years, Ethan has held several positions at various swim camps where he learned and improved upon several new teaching and swimming techniques to help young swimmers enhance their performance in the pool. Ethan is also the Newton South High School Co-Ed Varsity coach and an assistant coach for the MIT Men’s and Women’s Varsity teams. |
